Fencing Jackets
How this works:
1st meet up:
If you already have a fencing jacket please bring it to our first meet up. I will need to hold on to it durning the week to make a pattern from it. I will make sure to have it for you to wear to the next fencing class.
If you don't have a jacket yet, I should have a couple prototypes lying around for you to try on. The most important part is that the shoulders fit you well.
This is the time to tell me what is working well with your current setup, what you need changed and preferences to breathability & padding.
2nd meet up:
I will have a prototype whipped up for you to try on. Then we will go over more minor adjustments and tweaks. Depending on how confident I am feeling with the design and fit, I will either have another prototype for you to try on or I will get started on your final jacket. When trying on your final jacket, there won't be any buttons yet. I will need it to fit you perfectly before we complete this last step. This is the step where you need to start thinking about buttons; would you like to supply them? If so, I can email you suggestions on what I have found to work well.
Final meet up:
You have your finished jacket with buttons & buttonholes. Check in the mirror, check mobility. Just like new shoes, there is some minor breaking in. Enjoy and happy fencing!
